Posting Pics! Yay!

Ok, so hubby finally showed me how to add my lo's to the post! Yay! It will give me something to do on this rainy day here in NY.

This LO is a page from our honeymoon. We went to Virginia, and then spent the last night in NYC. This day was spent in just a fraction of Central Park. These pictures were taken from the carriage ride we took.

As for this one, I'm not sure if I like the minimalist look or not. It was very simple for me, which was a challenge in itself for me. I like lots of paper, especially patterned paper, so I'm not sure if this needs something else or not. What do you think? Shoot me an email at mrscreativity@tarren.biz and let me know! I'm open to ideas/constructive criticism. Of course, compliments are always welcome too ;)

Ok, if I had to pick which is my favorite NY City layout, it would be a toss up. It would either be the one titled "Be Your Own Star" or this one! I was absolutely tickled pick with this one! I love the grungy feel of it too!

I was pretty happy with this one as well. The lighting seems kind of dark, and I apologize for that. And as I mentioned before, I love patterned paper! Can a girl ever have too much???

Journaling Reads: "I've always hated the city. Nothing against the people there, but I'm a country girl. I did, however trek there for Broadway."

Speaking of Broadway-that's where we spent our last night (and probably our most expensive), was in NYC to see....(insert Drum Roll Here)

PHANTOM OF THE OPERA

Journaling reads: "This was our second to last night on our honeymoon. And probably the most expensive. It was all worth it thought to finally see THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA."

Again, here, this was very challenging for me because it was such a simple LO.

If you are wondering, I've been scrapping for 6 years now, and my crafting is just now starting to be where I'd like it to be.

Well, I will post more later. I don't want to overload the blog!

Have a peach-y-rific day!

Where is the Sandman?

Ok, can I just say that if we weren't in massive debt, I'd be sleeping on one of those wonderful sleep number beds??!! BTW, my sleep # is 55 for anyone who was wondering. Yes, hubby and I tested out a few of them before we got married. Alas, the $7,000 was spent on the wedding instead. Yes, I said $7,000 for a bed! It was so amazing though. And, being pregnant (22 weeks), I wouldn't be up at 4:30 am (eastern time) with a massively aching hip and leg! Mind you, we got a great deal on the queen size bed we have, the first new bed I've had since I was a young'un. I mean, new bed with new box springs and mattress, all at the same time.

So, here I am, at not even the crack of dawn, blogging, wondering if sleep will ever be possible again...my hypothesis is....NO! I am sure it will all be worth it though! Speaking of which, I know I said I would post some pics, and I WILL, I promise. The technical stuff is my hubby's job, and well, he works from 4am until usually 1pm, and comes home and takes a nap. I can't blame him. He does work hard. I love him so much! And last night, he did our taxes, so I can't complain about that. I'd rather those be done than some pics posted.

But just wait until you see some of the stuff! Although I am no where near any of the masters I idolize http://www.memorymakersmagazine.com/crystaljeffreyrieger/ I hope you will be inspired nonetheless.

MIA

So, I've been MIA for a few days. Spent Easter with the folks, going back to our home church. Nice Surprise, my sister surprised my hubby and I with a diaper bag full of goodies for the baby on the way. Girl? Boy? We don't want to know, and God doesn't want us to know either. Though I had given in to my mom, who went to the last ultrasound with us, I told her the technician could write the gender on a piece of paper and put it in an envelope. Ha ha, the joke was on her though. The baby had his/her feet crossed at the ankles and pulled right up tight, so not even the technician could tell! Thank God for small miracles and answered prayers! I know if mom knows, then everyone wants to know...NO ONE, I repeat, NO ONE is knowing!

Ok, I know that doesn't seem very scrapbook related, but it is, believe me. These are the things that I will scrap and put in the baby's book.

Time to get the mail and some lunch. When hubby gets home from work, we'll take some pictures and post them!

Welcome

Welcome to Sticky Fingers, the blog created by Tarren Young, in honor of her hobby/passion scrapbooking! Don't let the title fool you, I'm in no way, a purloiner (vocab word of the day), but often, I do find myself with very, very sticky fingers!

As of right now, this blog doesn't offer much, but it will. Check back often, please. You will find all sorts of things related to scrapbooking, including challenges, writing/journaling prompts (as writing is a second passion of mine) (the fire does need to be rekindled though), and hopefully, some of my work will be posted.

You will also find devotionals here as well. As I am in a very deep relationship with Christ. Do not worry though. This will not be religion. That's why I love being a Christian. It's not about politics or things like that, that get in the way of knowing Jesus Christ our Savior. Knowing Jesus Christ our Savior, and being a Christian is about a relationship with Christ.

There will be many things to look forward too, so please STICK around!! (ha ha, I made a funny!)
....sorry, I have a corny sense of humor.
